Get Involved
Our work at North Star is meaningful and rewarding. We change lives.
Here are some suggestions for how you can work with us in supporting teenagers to dream big, direct their own lives, and explore their full potential.

Donate Money
As a policy North Star accepts all applicants regardless of their ability to pay. As a result, finances can be challenging. We rely on assistance from our many friends to ensure that taking control of your future is an option for any interested teen in the Pioneer Valley. North Star is a registered non-profit, so your donation is entirely tax deductible.
Share information about North Star with a teen or the family of a teen. Contact our outreach director, Sarah Reid, to request a packet to be mailed to you.
Lead a workshop for our teens. Workshops happen on Tuesday afternoons between 1:00 and 4:00 PM. They can be between 1 and 3 hours in length. Usually workshops are one-time events, but we welcome short series or monthly events as well. Contact our program director, Catherine Gobron, to begin to discuss your idea.
Bring friends to an open house. Check out the schedule here.
Join our board of directors. Talk to our board president, Gary Bernard (bernard AT uww.umass.edu), about attending a meeting.
Donate an item. Talk to Sarah, and she'll help you.
