October Outing: Mike's Maze
We’re going to Mike’s Corn Maze! Explore the maze, ride around in the go-carts, visit the animals, check out the camera obscura, and all of the other fun attractions. For extra $ you can also fire the potato cannon and have a snack at the Corn Café. We will walk over from North Star. Families are welcome and can meet us at Mike’s. The cost is $10 per person; if you would like to go and this is not affordable for you, talk to Loran or your advisor.
All classes and one-on-ones are canceled this afternoon. The activity is optional; there will be staff at North Star for teens who don’t want to go.
September Outing: Kayaking
Kayaking with Billy Goat Boats in Orange. All equipment is provided. Participation is optional, building IS open, all classes cancelled 9-12. Cost is $20/person, please bring cash when you come. Boats and all safety equipment are provided. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come! If you would like to go but the fee is not affordable to you, speak to Ken or your advisor. Parent participation welcome, and driving is helpful: contact Ken if you can drive.

Volunteer Day at Franklin County Fair
Help set up recycling stations around the Fairground in advance of the weekend’s Franklin County Fair! This is a fun way to work together and to get free admission to the Fair on the day of your choice.
Opening Day
Teens and families are invited to come together for a potluck lunch and to say hi! Meet your advisor and some other teens, play some games, get ready for a fantastic North Star year!
